So Michael is home, he got home Saturday afternoon. He met me in Tucson at my Grandmas since I was already there for a wedding and it was on our way to Yuma. So here are some pics! Im a little bummed that the signs werent really in the pictures of the three of us, I didnt think I had to tell the person who was taking the picture that I wanted the sign in it when I said lets take our pictures by the sign! But what can ya do, at least the ones by himself came out pretty good! Oh sorry if they are huge photos! ( Collapse )
Mamarevolution.com was started in early winter 2004 by four young mamas who needed a place where they belonged. Too young and alternative for babycenter and too old for the teen based online communities, they struck out to make a home for mamas who just didn’t fit in anywhere else. After a few nights of brainstorming and women sharing their talents, Mamarevolution.com was born.
Mamarevolution is a pro-choice, feminist community who seeks to support, encourage and educate young women and mothers from all backgrounds and cultures. Our goal is to provide the community and support that is so desperately needed as we fight for our rights as parents and women, and to defeat the social stereotypes that surround young or alternative parents.
While we promote breastfeeding and natural parenting, we recognize that each family is unique and has their own set of needs and customs. We respect and support all families and their allies in their quest to raise strong, positive and socially conscious children.
Michael is on his way home! Hopefully he will be back Saturday but if not Sunday. Im so excited!! And he told me that since he has the highest score in his class he got a meritorious mass (I know the first part is meritorious but I couldnt understand the rest, so Im guessing) which will look good now that he goes to promotion boards only from now on!
And even though he was not gone on a deployment he was still gone 9 weeks so I made a couple of signs to hang out on the front porch...I thought they came out pretty well considering I never made any before! Its really sparkly but you cant tell in the pictures...
hi. I'm new to the group, of course. My name's Beth, my hubby (Cory) and I have been trying to conceive since Oct of 2005. I actually joined the website first, and then joined here....so I guess I did it in reverse, but anyway I hope that I learn a lot from this community and the website as well :)
Lindsay got her ears pierced today! It looks so cute but I dont have my camera around because we packed to move my stuff back to Yuma tomorrow. As soon as I can I will post a picture. She was such a good sport about it all, even having to mark her ears three times because we didnt like how it looked. I had to hold her hands down and my Mom held her head and neither one of us could watch, I thought I was going to cry for her! Anyhow the first ear she cried a tiny bit but the second ear she cried for a good couple of minutes. But not so bad considering Im sure it hurt and she is so little, Im so proud of her!
Pictures where you can see her ears and a few others! ( Collapse )
Michael will be home in one week!! Im having a bunch of emotions running thru me with Michael coming home and it being so close. And I feel bad for feeling this way... Dont get me wrong I cant wait to see him but part of me is dreading it. My body does not look anything like it used to, in fact I have never been heavier. Granted he knows I had baby but I feel I should look lighter or something after it being 8 weeks, well 9 when he is home not be looking like I did when he left which was just six days after having her. I feel like Im roll upon roll, and even down there isnt flat and tight (the skin lol) like it used to be. Ahh I hate feeling this way!!
